Tucker County

Located in northeast West Virginia, on the Allegheny Plateau and in the Eastern Panhandle. Most of the county is in the Monongahela National Forest. Tucker County is Bordered on the North by Preston County, West Virginia; on the Northeast by Garrett County, Maryland; on the South by Randolph County, West Virginia; on the East by Grant County West Virginia & on the West by Barbour County West Virginia. The county seat for Tucker County is Parsons.

The county was created in 1856 from a part of Randolph County, then part of Virginia. In 1871, a small part of Barbour County, was transferred to Tucker County.[3] The county was named after Henry St. George Tucker, Sr., a judge and Congressman from Williamsburg, Virginia. Canaan Valley, Dolly Sods and the Blackwater Canyon are located within Tucker County.

PETERSBURG, W.Va. — On Monday February 22nd 2009 at 1305 Hrs the Petersburg Volunteer Fire Department (Company 400) was alerted for the Motor Vehicle Accident on Route 28/55. Rescue Engine 495, Rescue 491, Attack 497 and Utility 490 responded.

MOOREFIELD, W.Va. — On Monday February 22nd 2010 at 1930 Hrs the Petersburg Volunteer Fire Department (Company 400) was alerted to assist the Moorefield Volunteer Fire Department (Company 46) with a Fully Involved Structure Fire on River Road behind the 84 Lumber. Rescue Engine 495 and Tanker 492 responded.

MAYSVILLE, W.Va. — On Monday December 14th 2009 at 0710 Hrs the Petersburg Volunteer Fire Department (Company 400) was alerted to assist the Maysville Volunteer Fire Department (Company 200) to setup a landing zone on Route 42. Rescue 491, Engine Tanker 494 and Engine 495 responded.

PETERSBURG, W.Va. — On Wednesday December 9th 2009 at 1701 Hrs the Petersburg Volunteer fire company was alerted for wires down with a woods fire on Tom Cox Road. Attack 497, Tanker 492 and Utility 490 responded.

PETERSBURG, W.Va. — On Monday December 7th 2009 the Petersburg and the Maysville Volunteer fire companies were alerted for a single vehicle MVA on Route 93. Rescue Engine 495 and Squad 240 responded. Crews arrived on the scene to find a single vehicle into a tree
