CSX was created from predecessor railroads which date back to the early portion of the 19th century. Prior to modern times the two main branches of the current corporate family tree were for many years themselves systems: Chessie System formed in 1930, Seaboard Coast Line formed in 1969, Each of these grew from many smaller local and regional lines as the railroad industry grew.
CSX’s 10 divisions are listed below, The highlighted division’s are the ones that I have photographed.
