The Hagerstown District spans 105 miles (168 km) crossing the Potomac River at Shepherdstown, West Virginia and the North Fork of the Shenandoah River at Riverton Junction, Virginia. It extends from Hagerstown, Maryland south to Shenandoah, Virginia along the old Norfolk and Western main line.
